Well, the day finally arrived. I don't know who was more anxious, Momma and Daddy or Jack. Momma and Daddy were pretty nervous, but not Jack. He couldn't wait to get back into his Choo-Choo bed! (I think that was the highlight of his whole day!) Once we got to the hospital, they had us put him in a little gown (too cute). Then he and Teddy had to get hospital bracelets. Jack said "See, just like Momma!"
Before too long, it came time for his "pre-op" drug, or Kiddie Cocktail as they called it. Now, I have tasted a lot of things in my day, but nothing compares to this so-called cocktail. It was HORRIBLE! I'm surprised he even took it. This was our first glimpse into the future of Frat parties...let's just say, Jack was swervin' a bit! lol At one time, he put his "babis" in his mouth and very lethargically said "bbbaaaabbbiiiissssss". You hated to laugh, but couldn't stop yourself!
Surgery, as you all know, was a success!! Yeah!! (I was fed up with those ear infections!) When it came time to leave, he actually started crying. He wanted to take another ride in his Choo-Choo bed! I didn't think we were going to get him out of that crib. (And this coming from a child that would never sleep in his own crib.) Momma and Daddy were ready to go, though. We went back to the Dr 3 wks later and received an excellent report!
